Grocery story opens on Ridge

Following a ribbon cutting the evening of Nov. 18, The Ridge Supermarket is open for business.

The Myers Group, which took only two weeks to remodel and restock the store, moved in after Village Foods IGA moved out. The new store has goods ranging from groceries to vacuum cleaners.

Volleyball team advances to state again

When teams arrive for the Class 3A state volleyball tournament this weekend, they’ll see a familiar face among them.

That face will be the Mount Si Wildcats. But they could just as easily be called the comeback kids.

As Mount Si head coach Bonnie Foote gets a congratulatory hug in the background, the Wildcat volleyball team celebrates qualifying for the state tournament Nov. 15 at West Seattle High School.

Mount Si integrates more math into the curriculum

Many students expect to encounter mathematical concepts in algebra and physics, but not in their Spanish or language arts classes.

Senior Emily Brodie looks at a problem in her calculus book. With the Math Across the Curriculum program, Brodie may start seeing math in her other classes at Mount Si.
